MATCHBOX THEATRE

Michael Frayn's MATCHBOX THEATRE has opened at Hampstead Theatre. Originally created for the world's smallest theatre, this collection blends short stories and mini-plays in an innovative and unique production. 

Michael Frayn is the author of plays for film and theatre. Notable works include NOISES OFF, COPENHAGEN and many celebrated adaptations of Chekhov. He is the recipient of the Writer's Guild Lifetime Achievement Award (2010) and the South Bank Show Outstanding Achievement Award (2012).

MATCHBOX THEATRE is directed by Hamish McColl. Hamish is perhaps best known for his work on the Olivier award winning THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE. 

Polly Sullivan is the Designer. Further credits for Hampstead theatre include DEPOSIT (2015) and ELEPHANTS (2014). MATCHBOX THEATRE sees Polly design for Hampstead's Main Stage for the first time. 

Drama desk and Sound Designer Of The Year recipient John Leonard is the Sound Designer.

The cast includes Nina Wadia (GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME/ EASTENDERS) and Felicity Montagu (ALAN PARTRIDGE/ BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY).

MATCHBOX THEATRE runs until Saturday 6th June.
