Jeff Pope receives the BAFTA Special Award

Jeff Pope was honoured with the Special Award at the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday 11th May for his outstanding creative contribution to television.

Currently the Head of Factual Drama at ITV, Jeff’s recent writing credits include acclaimed TV series MRS BIGGS (Sheridan Smith) and LUCAN (Rory Kinnear), and executive producing credits include MO (Julie Walters), and APPROPRIATE ADULT (Dominic West, Emily Watson). Jeff also wrote and produced this year’s BAFTA-nominated biopic CILLA about the life of singer and entertainer Cilla Black, who was last year's recipient of the Special Award.

Previous BAFTA recognition of Jeff’s work includes nine nominations across Film and Television, winning a BAFTA for television drama SEE NO EVIL: THE MOORS MURDERS in 2007 and Adapted Screenplay for PHILOMENA at the British Academy Film Awards last year.
