Composer Jed Kurzel praised by Film Music Magazine

Film Music Magazine have praised Jed Kurzel's work in a recent interview with the composer.

The article focuses on John Maclean's upcoming SLOW WEST ("affirms Jed Kurzel’s unique, rising voice in the domain of indie cinema"), horror THE BABADOOK ("evocative . . . nerve-jangling") and documentary ALL THIS MAYHEM ("brings a distinctive, Australian wryness to a universal genre while providing yet another unclassifiable, ear-catching score").

In addition, Jed scored the upcoming MACBETH, which premiered last month at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival to huge critical acclaim.  Variety said “composer Jed Kurzel (the director’s brother) amplifies the tribal percussion to nerve-fraying extremes” and The Times that “Battle drums and an extraordinary, sometimes beautiful score by Jed Kurzel, the director’s brother, conduct the audience’s emotions, and the result is devastating”.

The full interview and article is available on Film Music Magazine's website.  MACBETH will be on general release this October.
