UK Theatre Awards 2015

The UK Theatre Awards 2015 ceremony took place last night and there were plenty of UA names amongst the nominees and winners.

The wonderful Justine Mitchell was the winner of Best Supporting Performance for her role as ‘Eva Ardsley’ in Somerset Maugham’s For Services Rendered at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Best Musical Production was won by Gypsy, directed by UA’s Jonathan Kent and Associate Director Lloyd Wood.

Dick Bird was awarded Best Design for The Hudsucker Proxy.

UA’S Alex Hassell was nominated for Best Performance as ‘Biff’ in the RSC's Death of a Salesman.

The English Touring Theatre and Sheffield Theatre's production of Twelfth Night, in which UA's Rebecca Johnson and Brian Protheroe both performed, won Best Touring Production.
