Omar Khan is a writer actor based in East London. In 2022 he wrote and starred in an award-winning short film funded by Netflix (Queen of Diamonds). This led him to be commissioned by the National Youth Theatre - where he was already a member as an actor from 2020 - with his debut offering to be staged Spring 2024 (Blue Kimera). In late 2023 the production company Samahoma Entertainment attached themselves to option a feature (Tea Leaves) he has written.

He was also recently one of the lead writers in a writer’s room for an ITVX Sitcom (Piglets), due to release in Summer 2024.

In October of 2023 he won an International Emmy Award, namely the prestigious Sir Peter Ustinov Screenwriting Award for an unaired drama pilot (Pocket Man).
