About

Peter Lydon's drama work includes Shameless, Teachers, Secret Diary of a Call Girl and Vincent.

Garrow’s Law, his gripping four part period drama, won a prestigious Royal Television Society Award.

His short film Uncle Santa for Sky Comedy (written by Meera Syal) went out on Christmas Day 2010. It was the first ever 3D drama commission in Europe.

Peter began as a documentary maker with award winning films for The South Bank Show and BBC Arena. His BAFTA nominated biography of Peter Sellers won three major awards in the US.

Peter has managed to dovetail a successful career as a leading TV drama director with an increasing presence in the world of commercials, directing (among many other projects) the hugely successful Fairytale campaign for Sky Broadband and Sky Anytime+ including Princess and the Pea, Aladdin, The Frog Prince, King Arthur and The Emperor's New Clothes.
