Tom Edge is a film and television writer. He has received nominations from both the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain and BAFTA for his work as creator and lead-writer of transmedia thriller ROUTES (Oil productions / Channel 4).

In film:

Tom was selected by the UK Film Council and Skillset as one of only five UK writers to receive second draft funding for his feature film HENRY VERSUS, via their prestigious WTS Scheme. This script is now out to directors with Big Talk (PAUL, SCOTT PILGRIM, ATTACK THE BLOCK).

Tom is attached to write an adaptation of the Hari Kunzru novel TRANSMISSION with Anand Tucker attached to direct (RED RIDING, AND WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE YOUR FATHER?) and Shekhar Kapur (ELIZABETH) executive producing. He is also rewriting the teen horror-comedy feature THREE LITTLE PIGS for Caveman Films, from a script by Larry Wilson (BEETLE JUICE, THE ADDAMS FAMILY).

He is currently writing a second film for Big Talk / StudioCanal, SKATE, and a comedy feature for Origin Pictures that Marc Munden will direct.

In television:

Alongside his film work he is developing original television comedy and drama, including pilot scripts and series ideas for Big Talk, Clerkenwell Films and Hat Trick, among others.

Recent commissioned works include production rewrites on THREESOME for Big Talk, writing episode of Warp Films' new musical comedy series MIDNIGHT BEAST for E4 and writing an episode of PRAMFACE SERIES 2 for Little Comet / BBC3.

He is currently writing two pilot scripts for Channel 4, both original single-camera half-hour comedies. Their working titles are SCROTAL RECALL (Clerkenwell Films) and ROMANCE DETECTIVES (Hat Trick).
