Simon Gough - 15th August 1942 – 4th February 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Gough, who died on Sunday after protracted ill health.  A much-beloved client, he will be remembered for his tremendous vitality and courage in the face of extreme physical frailty  and for his one extraordinary, autobiographical novel, THE WHITE GODDESS: AN ENCOUNTER (Galley Beggar Press), a memoir of his time as a young man spent with his “grand-uncle” Robert Graves in the mountains of Mallorca.  It was the first book published by Galley Beggar Press.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon and their four children, Tamasin, Samuel, Daisy and Dickon.
