About

Originally from Bolton, Diane is a trained actress. She began stand-up in 2004 and since 2006 has been awarded second place in both the Hackney New Empire Act of the Year and Funny Women Awards.

Diane was as a regular performer (along with fellow TWO EPISODES OF MASH member Joe Wilkinson) on Channel Four's ROBERT'S WEB and she has appeared in Series 9 & 10 of BBC Two's MOCK THE WEEK.

She has recently been seen as the regular role of Talia the receptionist in Sky One's 8 episode sitcom MOUNT PLEASANT alongside Sally Lindsay, Pauline Collins and Daniel Ryan. The show has just been re-commissioned for another 10 part series which goes into production shortly.

Diane also played the role of Sharon in David Jason's BBC ONE series THE ROYAL BODYGUARD and appeared as Susan in the Hat Trick / 2LE taster tape INTERNS.

Diane and Joe had a very successful Edinburgh 2010 at The Pleasance with their distinctive brand of sketch comedy. The pair's pilot for BBC Radio 2 was Pick of the Week in the Independent and The Telegraph.

Their series is currently airing on Radio 2 with support from David O'Doherty and Radio 2 presenter Ken Bruce. There are also very brief appearances (in the style of answerphone messages) from Graham Norton (Show 2 TX 15th October), Jimmy Carr (Show 3 TX 22nd October) and Sarah Millican (Show 4 TX 29th October).

TWO EPISODES OF MASH recently had a second radio series commissioned which will transfer to Radio 4.

Diane and Joe will shortly begin filming on every episode of the new 8-part BBC Three comedy series LIVE AT THE ELECTRIC (Tinderbox Television).

Talent also appearing include host Russell Kane, Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner Adam Riches, Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Winner 2011 Humphrey Ker, Lady Garden, Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Nominee 2011 Totally Tom, Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee 2011 Nick Helm. The series will begin transmitting in May 2012.

They have also filmed material for Channel Four's online comedy website THIS JUST IN as well as developing television material for BBC Comedy.
