Headlong’s R&J revival opens at Nuffield

Headlong Theatre's new production of ROMEO & JULIET has opened at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton before embarking on a UK Tour.

The production is directed by Headlong’s Associate Director, Robert Icke, designed by Helen Goddard, and features Okezie Morro as Tybalt.

Robert Icke's revival for Headlong is startlingly fresh.

I've never seen a production that so clearly captures the internalised world of the adolescent: high as a kite one moment and in the depths of despair the next.

It's terrific, and hails the arrival of some thrilling young actors and an impressive new director.
