United Comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe 6th - 30th Aug

In Edinburgh for the Festival this August? Come and see the following comedy shows at the Fringe featuring United Agents clients.

Doc Brown

Unfamous
Being human, we all have a desire to be special, to leave our mark. But how far would you go to be remembered? What’s so special about human beings anyway? Witness a lifetime of extremes as Doc recalls the remarkable events that for him should have spelt infamy, but only spelt unfamy. What led Doc to leave behind crowds of 40,000, sharing stages with Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen…? Why did he walk away from the star treatment, the adulation…? The Fringe provides a chance to see him explain his idiocy to about 50 people in an attic.

Tim Key

The Slutcracker

Key (jaded; handsome) brings his award-winning lurid-as-hell poetical sh*tstorm back to Scotland for a strictly limited run designed to keep him alive as a presence in Edinburgh. Key (repugnant; studious) is the scaven poet-figure from Newswipe and isn't getting any younger. The show is a grimy confusion of poetry, clambering and refrigeration. Key (gallant; flawed) is trying to engage his longtime technician Fletch (gigantic glasses; good value) to wiggle his nobs. Key’s doing this as much for The Invisible Dot as he is for himself. Sell-out Edinburgh 2009, Sydney 2010, London 2010 and Melbourne 2010.

AND

Horne Section

Yes, it's jazz-infused comedy time as a pioneering group of artists put jazz and comedy on stage together for the first time ever (definitely). Late, live and loud, these unique shows see the UK's finest jazz musicians collaborate with the Fringe's favourite comics. Part improvised, part honed, part performance, part party, Alex Horne and his Magnificent Band present people like Mark Watson, Tim Key and Josie Long doing their stuff, but backed and, indeed, improved by jazz. More than comedy, more than music, it'll be like the Blues Brothers, but more Jazz Cousins. Nice.
