Tim Crouch receives John Whiting Award

Tim Crouch has received this year's prestigious John Whiting Award for his play THE AUTHOR (which he shares with Lucy Kirkwood for "it felt empty when the heart went at first but it is alright now").

The prize is awarded to new plays which display an original and distinctive development in dramatic writing.

THE AUTHOR premiered at the Royal Court last autumn, returned to this year's Edinburgh Festival and is currently touring the UK and Europe, details for which can be found here.
