Evening Standard Theatre Awards

This year's Evening Standard Awards were presented on Sunday 28th November at the Savoy Hotel.

Nancy Carroll received the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress for her role as 'Joan Scott-Fowler' in AFTER THE DANCE (NT Lyttelton).

Howard Davies was named Best Director for his productions of THE WHITE GUARD (NT Lyttelton) and ALL MY SONS (Apollo Theatre).

Anya Reiss was given the Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright for her play SPUR OF THE MOMENT (Royal Court).

And for his contribution to world theatre, Sir Peter Hall received the Moscow Art Theatre's Golden Seagull.
