HERE opens at the Rose

The Rose Theatre’s production of Michael Frayn’s comedy, HERE, has opened in Kingston, in a revival directed by Lisa Spirling, with designs by Polly Sullivan, lighting by Mike Gunning and a cast featuring Alison Steadman, Zawe Ashton and Alex Beckett.

The play watches a young couple, newly moved into their first flat and coming to terms with their fundamental incompatibility, an experience similarly lived by the flat’s landlady, whose presence is not entirely welcome...

A persuasive revival by Lisa Spirling

Polly Sullivan’s design creates a thrust stage that immediately transforms the space into a manageable house for comedy.

It is very moving, in a curiously original way.  I’d be very surprised if Here today will be gone tomorrow.
