ANDERS HAZELIUS is a Swedish director and screenwriter. After studying Philosophy, Art and Film, Anders went on to study Directing at The Gothenburg Film School (Valand Academy), graduating in 2010.
Anders directed Netflix feature FOREVER produced by SF Studios - released 2023. The film follows two best friends who share a deep love for football but drifts apart when one of them is determined to go pro, while the other realizes there might be more to life than sports.
News on his upcoming feature LOOK AT ME NOW (Alla mina namn) a fictional drama based on Eurovision star Tusse Chiza and his adventurous and inspiring life, produced by Anna-Klara Carlsten of B Reel Films, has just been announced.
Anders has just finished post production on the TV Series SCENES AFTER A MARRIAGE (Scener efter ett äktenskap) for B Reel Films/ Viaplay. Written by Veronica Zacco and starring Eva Röse, Danny Saucedo and Ardalan Esmaili.
His other TV credits include the critically acclaimed series THE THIN BLUE LINE (Tunna blå linjen) (season 1 and 2), written and created by Cilla Jackert and produced by Anagram for SVT. The series, set in today's Malmö in a fictitious setting, tells the deep and complex stories of six police officers at work and their daily lives. The series won the most prestigious Swedish Kristallen award for the best drama series (Swedish Emmy) in 2021 and was nominated for the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize. Anders went back to direct episodes 1 & 2 of the second season, released in the fall of 2022 on SVT The series was recently renewed by SVT for a season 3.
Amy Deasismont's drama series THUNDER IN MY HEART premiered in May 2021, produced by B-Reel Films for Viaplay, where Anders was the conceptual director. The series follows a group of young friends as they get older and struggle to meet the unexpected demands of adulthood. The series won "Best Actress" (Amy Deasismont) at Kristallen and was nominated for "Best Drama Series" 2021.
Anders is drawn to warm and human stories with a focus on the interpersonal but entwined with suspense or comedy. A playful crossing of genres has been present through his line of work. He enjoys working on his own projects as a screenwriter and director, but also collaborating with other as a concept or episodic director.
Anders is developing new projects as a creator and director, for both film and tv.
