Emily Murdoch Perkins has a Masters in Medieval Studies from the Centre of Medieval Studies at the University of York and was a York Award Scholar. During her studies, she underwent original manuscript palaeographical research in the Bodleian Library, and won a competition to redesign part of the Medieval Exhibition at the Yorkshire Museum. She also volunteered at the York Museums Trust, and a special summer exhibition at the Jorvik Viking Centre.

By the time she graduated her MA, Emily’s first historical novel was published under a pen name. To date, Emily has published over 40 novels, all historical, under two pen names. Reviews of her books have repeatedly highlighted the depth of her historical research, and the compelling narrative she constructs. In October 2021, she became a USA Today Bestselling Author, and was runner up for awards in 2021 and 2022.

Emily spoke at the Historical Novel Society Conference 2021, the Writing Gals Conference October 2022, and will be teaching in the Regency Academe in February 2023. Interviews with Emily have been featured on Medievalist.net, Fantastic Fiction, Historical Fiction Obsessed, Authority Magazine, Thrive Global, Literature Approved, and more.

Natalia Lucas will be representing Emily's non-fiction titles.
