Gemma Cary

Happily immersed in the world of children’s publishing since 2005, Gemma is the author of over 30 picture books. Now venturing into the world of teen fiction, she wants her readers to laugh loudly, cringe deeply and ultimately wish her characters were their best mates. Her debut novel, LOVE IS IN THE HAIR, comes out with Delacorte Press in 2024 and explores themes of feminism, friendship and body positivity. Gemma lives in Wiltshire and writes from a cabin in the garden, where her golden retriever is usually asleep in the corner.
