Helen Price

Helen is a writer and performer from Wales. Drawing on her previous experience as a BBC journalist, she created, wrote and co-starred in the podcast series Everything is News, which satirises popular political podcasts.

The first series of Everything is News was a word-of-mouth phenomenon, reaching #5 in the UK podcast charts and the #1 position in UK news podcast chart - despite actually being a comedy. The series drew praise for its precision, political insight, and pitch-black humour, with The Times writing – “Pitch perfect. I laughed out loud”. Podcast Rex wrote – “It’s so well crafted, a times you have to remind yourself that what you are listening to is satire.” Helen is currently working on the second series.

Helen was also selected for Channel 4's prestigious New Writers Scheme 2024/5, for which she is writing a dark comedy-thriller script for presentation to commissioners. Before this, she was a BAFTA scholar.

Helen has also written for various comedy radio shows including: What Just Happened?, The Skewer and Breaking The News.
