James is a BAFTA nominated writer and director, his biggest love being comedy.
James recently directed Catherine Tate's Netflix sitcom Hard Cell.
He currently has a script optioned with Baby Cow productions called Pay & Display. He's currently pitching his latest projects Skipper to production companies and his beach based sitcom Lifeguards to channels.
James is the resident director for Comic Relief and Children in Need sketches and has had the pleasure of directing great talent including Stephen Fry, Romesh Ranganathan, Mel & Sue, Harry Hill, Jimmy Carr, Asim Chaudhry, Rosie Jones, Tom Davis, Judi Love, Daniel Craig, David Walliams and Matt Lucas and in a true career highlight he once filmed the Cheeky Girls opening a Pound Land.
