Marcel Theroux is a broadcaster, writer, and the producer and presenter of award winning documentaries.
Born in Kampala, Uganda and growing up in England, Marcel studied English Literature at Cambridge University before winning a scholarship to study International Relations at Yale, where he specialized in Soviet and East European Studies. Since 2000, he has presented numerous documentaries focusing on globally reaching subjects ranging from climate change to the Japanese aesthetic principle of wabi-sabi. He is additionally a regular presenter of Unreported World on Channel 4.
Marcel has published seven novels to huge critical acclaim, winning the John W. Campbell Memorial Award, the Prix de l’Inaperçu, Arthur C Clarke Award, U.S. National Book Award and Somerset Maugham Award.
