Naomi Sheldon

Naomi Sheldon is a writer and actor. She has adapted Michelle Frances’ THE GIRLFRIEND for the Imaginarium / Amazon Prime Video, starring and directed by Robin Wright, which is now in post production. Naomi is also developing an original series with The Story Collective and she is part of this year's BBC STUDIOS SPOTLIGHT Scheme. Naomi has done a rewrite for the film BRUNDIBAR to be directed by Andy Serkis. Her debut play GOOD GIRL had a critically acclaimed run at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 followed by a transfer to VAULT festival and then Trafalgar Studios. Emma Thompson described it as "cutting edge truth and hilarity from one of the freshest voices of this century". Naomi was part of the BBC WRITERSROOM DRAMA scheme in 2019 and in 2020 was invited to be on the BBC WRITERSROOM TV DRAMA WRITERS' programme. Naomi was in the writersroom for THE CROW GIRL (Buccaneer / Paramount +).

Naomi is under commission at Trafalgar Studios and was asked to write a BBC Radio 3 play, OUT OF YOUR MIND, which was part of Summerhall live radio season in 2019. Her most recent play VILE ACTS OF LOVE (developed whilst on the Soho Writer’s Lab) had a sell out work-in-progress run at VAULT festival 2020. 

Naomi is co-creator and host of THE PLEASURE PODCAST, a hit podcast about sex and intimacy.
