2014 UK Theatre Awards winners announced

The 2014 UK Theatre Awards were announced last night at London’s Guildhall.

The award for Best New Play was given to Deborah McAndrew for AN AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY LARK, a Northern Broadside production in partnership with New VIc Theatre and Newcastle-under-lyme on tour.

Oliver Emanuel joined National Theatre of Scotland, Vox Motus and Tianjin People's Art Theatre in picking up the award for Best Show for Children and Young People for DRAGON, which played at the Citizens Theatre and the Traverse.
