Academy Award Success for Director of Photography James Friend ASC, BSC with ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT

Director of Photography James Friend ASC, BSC picked up the Oscar for Best Cinematography at the 95th Academy Awards for his stunning work on Director Edward Berger's ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. The film is based on Erich Remarque's 1929 novel of the same name, and is available to watch on Netflix.

This is James's first Academy Award nomination and win. We are utterly thrilled for him as a company and so proud he is part of the UA family. James was at the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in LA with his wife and family to accept.
