BAFTA announce nominees for 2014 Children's Awards

BAFTA have today announced the nominations for the 2014 Children's Awards, with a host of UA talent featuring on the list.

Joe Parham and Ben Cottam are part of the writing team, along with senior writers Tim Allsop & Stewart Williams, for THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL, which sees itself nominated for Best Writing and Best Animation Show. It will also take part in the Kid's Vote for Television, along with WOLFBLOOD, starring Aimee Kelly, which has also been recognized in the Best Drama category.

CBBC series DIXI, written by Henrietta & Jessica Ashworth, has landed a nomination for Best Original Interactive Series, while Ben Bailey Smith's 4 O'CLOCK CLUB gets a nod for Best Comedy along with DNN: DEFINITELY NOT NEWSROUND starring Sam Fletcher and Dominique Moore.

Lynsey Miller has been nominated in the Primary Learning Category for her short film LIZARD GIRL.

Doc Brown voices Mitchell in Factory's STRANGE HILL HIGH

Kit Harington's voice features in HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2

In the PRESCHOOL: ANIMATION category

Akiya Henry voices Amma in Acamar Films' BING 

In the SHORT FILM category

Miriam Margolyes voices Nana Sheila in Arthur Cox's NINA NEEDS TO GO

 

The winners will be announced in a ceremony on Sunday 23rd November, hosted by Doc Brown.
