BAFTA Nominations 2016
Nominations for the 2016 BAFTA Awards have been announced, including several for UA clients.
DOCTOR FOSTER is nominated for both the ‘Mini-Series’ and ‘Radio Times Audience Award’, which was directed by UA’s Tom Vaughan.
Also in the category for ‘Mini-Series’ is THE ENFIELD HAUNTING directed by Kristoffer Nyholm.
HUMANS receives a nomination for the ‘Radio Times Audience Award’, as well as ‘Drama Series’, starring UA’s Colin Morgan and Katherine Parkinson, with 2 episodes directed by Lewis Arnold.
WOLF HALL Directed by Peter Kosminsky is also nominated for ‘Drama Series’.
In the category for ‘Soap & Continuing Drama’, is EASTENDERS, Directed by Toby Frow, featuring Laurie Brett, Danny Boy Hatchard and Nitin Ganatra, CORONATION STREET featuring Jane Danson and Catherine Tyldesley, EMMERDALE featuring Bhasker Patel, Gillian Kearney and Charley Webb, and HOLBY CITY featuring Kaye Wragg.
In comedy, Sharon Horgan is nominated for ‘Female Performance in a Comedy Programme’ for her role in CATASTROPHE. Olivia Coleman starred in PEEP SHOW which is nominated for ‘Scripted Comedy’, and Diane Morgan played Philomena Cunk in CHARLIE BROOKER’S ELECTION WIPE, nominated for ‘Comedy and Comedy Entertainment Programme’.
THE DETECTIVES, nominated in ‘Factual Series’ was voiced by UA’s Shaun Dooley and FIRST DATES, nominated for ‘Reality and Constructed Factual’ is voiced by Brian Protheroe.
RUDOLF NUREYEV – DANCE TO FREEDOM directed by Richard Curson Smith, receives a nomination for ‘Specialist Factual’.
