British Academy Scotland Awards: Nominees in 2016

Bafta Scotland has announced the nominations for this year's British Academy Scotland Awards, and we’re thrilled to have a whole host of UA clients up for nominations. Bafta Scotland recognise the best talent in film & television produced in Scotland last year.

Sam Heughan and Peter Capaldi will go head-to-head for Best Actor Television, for their respective roles in Outlander and Doctor Who.

Michael Keillor has also been given a Best Director in Film/Television nod for the critically acclaimed Line Of Duty.

Meanwhile, sit-com Scot Squad will battle it out for best comedy, starring Darren Connell.

The adaptation of classic novel Sunset Song, Edited by David Charap has been nominated for Best Feature Film, alongside Tommy’s Honour - a biopic of golf pioneer Old Tom Morris and his son, featuring production design by James Lapsley and starring Simon Paisley Day, as well as road trip movie Moon Dogs, written by Raymond Friel and stars Shauna Macdonald.

Elsewhere, Not Safe For Work is up for Television Drama, with episodes 4-6 Edited by Selina MacArthur.

In the Specialist Factual category, Ted Hughes: Stronger Than Death gains a nod with Richard Curson Smith as Producer/Director.
