CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal 2016

Nick Lake's THERE WILL BE LIES (Bloomsbury, 2014) and Kate Saunders' FIVE CHILDREN ON THE WESTERN FRONT (Faber, 2014, won the Costa in 2015) are both on the shortlist for the CILIP Carnegie Medal 2016. 

CAPTAIN JACK AND THE PIRATES by Helen Oxenbury and illustrated by Peter Bentley is on the longlist for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2016.
