Critics' Choice Award Nominations

The 2019 Critics Choice Awards nominees, which are selected by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, were announced today, and we are delighted to have a plethora of clients nominated!

Up for a total of Best Picture is Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Favourite which leads all films this year with 14 nominations, with Olivia Colman gaining a nomination for Best Actress as well as Best Actress in a Comedy, the film stars Luke Thallon, Timothy Innes and stunning hair and make-up design by Nadia Stacey. 

Up for Best Hair and Make-up is Jan Sewell for her work on the Freddie Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Nadia Stacey for her work on The Favourite. 

Isle Of Dogs is nominated for Best Animated Feature, with cinematography by Tristan Oliver BSC

Up for Best Acting Ensemble is Crazy Rich Asians, starring Jing Lusi

Nominated for Best Sci-Fi or Horror, is A Quiet Place, with Cinematography by Charlotte Bruus Christensen.

Nominations for Best Drama Series include; The Americans, with Matthew Rhysand Killing Eve, starring Anatole TaubmanLobo Chan, directed by Harry Bradbeer, with episodes 1 & 2 edited by Gary Dollner, episode 3 written by Vicky Jones and casting by Crowley Poole Casting

Matthew Rhys  also gains a nomination for Best Actor In a Drama Series for his portrayal of Philip Jennings in The Americans

HBO's Barry is up for Best Comedy Series, starring Anthony Carrigan.

A Very English Scandal, based on the book by John Preston, is up for Best Limited Series, starring Jason Watkinswith production design by Helen Scott, cinematography by Danny Cohen, costume design by Suzanne Cave, hair & makeup-design by Daniel Phillips and choreography by Francesca Jaynes. Also nominated is Genius: Picasso, starring Tom CullenAisling Franciosi, Jack Brett Anderson, James Garnon, Johnny Flynn and Clemence Poesy

Up for Best Movie made for Television is My Dinner with Hervé, with Felicite du JeuMark Umbers, with casting by Kate Ringsell, choreography by Jamie Neale and hair and make-up design by Chrissie Beveridge.

The winners will be revealed at the Critics’ Choice Awards gala on January 13th.
