Derry Girls

Brand new comedy Derry Girls will air in the new year! The show was created and written by Lisa McGee, directed by Michael Lennox, co-edited by Joe Randall-Cutler, and stars Claire Rafferty and Michael Shea.

The series begins on Channel 4 on January 4^th at 10pm.

Derry Girls is a 6-part comedy set in the 1990s. It is based on Lisa McGee’s own experience of growing up in Northern Ireland during The Troubles and follows Erin Quinn and her friends as they navigate the trials and tribulations of teenage life against a backdrop of bomb alerts, soldiers and British Army checkpoints.
