HarperCollins Children's Books acquires Monster and Chips

HarperCollins Children's Books has acquired a new illustrated fiction series from children's author and illustrator David O'Connell. Following eight-year-old Joe as he gets a job at a monster diner, the first title in the series will be published In February 2013 with two further instalments following in July 2013 and February 2014 respectively. Harriet Wilson, who signed the deal, described the series as setting a "new bar for 5-8 fiction."
