HENRY IV opens at the Donmar Warehouse
HENRY IV has opened at the Donmar Warehouse with UA’s Clare Dunne as Prince Hal, Ashley McGuire as Falstaff, Jade Anouka as Hotspur and Jackie Clune in the roles of Westmorland and Glendower.
The production marks the second in a trilogy of all-female Shakespeare productions from director Phyllida Lloyd and star Harriet Walter after the success of JULIUS CESAR on both sides of the Atlantic. Judging by critical and audience responses, this instalment which combines Henry IV parts 1 and 2 into a highly physical, innovative and stripped-back drama played out in just two hours by inmates in a prison, is set to be equally successful.
The production also features lighting design by Neil Austin and projection design by Duncan McLean and will play at the Donmar Warehouse until 29th November.
