IFTA Nominations Announced for 2017

IFTA’s celebrate the highest standard of Irish talent over the past twelve months, and today the nominations are announced in categories across film and drama, featuring a host of UA clients.

Shortlisted in the Best Drama category is several projects featuring clients, the first being the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones, starring Kit Harington, Natalie Dormer, David Bradley, Aisling Franciosi, Lino Facioli, Richard Dormer and Paul Rattray; new legal drama Striking Out is also shortlisted, starring Olwen Fouere, as well as series three of The Fall, with Colin Morgan, Valene Kane, Aisling Franciosi, Genevieve O’Reilly and Vincent Walsh; Smalltown, the lonely rural drama delicately handling emigration, starring Charlie Kelly and Sean Fox; The Vikings written and created by Michael Hirst.

Andrew Scott is shortlisted for his role in The Hollow Crown, and Dominique McElligott is shortlisted for House Of Cards.

For Actress in A Leading role Film, Caoilfhionn Dunne is shortlisted for the dark drama In View.

A Date for Mad Mary is amongst the shortlist for Best Film, with Casting by Louise Kiely.

Congratulations to all shortlisted - The annual Awards Ceremony will take place at the Round Room of the Mansion House on Saturday 8th April 2017.
