Indiewire Breakthrough Directors 2014

Indiewire's annual Breakthrough Directors of The Year list has been announced, with three UA directors featuring among the 21 that have been selected from around the world; Amma Assante for her recent work on period-drama BELLE, Steven Knight for his second outing as director on LOCKE, and David MacKenzie for his gritty prison drama STARRED UP.

A further three UA directors received honourable mentions, these being Anthony Chen for the 2013 Cannes Camera d'Or winning ILO ILO, Hong Khaou for his debut feature LILTING, and David Wnendt for the controversial and comedic WETLANDS.
