LAYLA premieres at Sundance

Amrou Al-Kadhi's nuanced and sensitive debut feature LAYLA has had its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival. Written and directed by Amrou, LAYLA tells the story of a young non-binary British-Palestinian drag queen Layla (Bilal Hasna) who falls in love with a cisgender white gay man Max (Louis Greatorex) and risks losing themselves in the process. A dazzling romantic comedy that raises complicated questions about identity, this is a confident first film from a brilliant talent.

With hair and make up designed by Adele Firth.
