THE MERCHANT OF VENICE 1936 ON TOUR
Following its success earlier this year at the Watford Palace Theatre, Brigid Larmour’s adaptation of the Shakespeare classic, The Merchant of Venice 1936, has now opened at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, before embarking on a UK tour. Made in association with the RSC, the show stars Hannah Morrish, Nancy Farino and great Costume and Set Design by Liz Cooke.
Taking place in 1936, this adaptation transports the classic story about Shylock and the Anti-Semitic Antonio and re-contextualises it in a key moment in British history.
