Northern Irish Police Drama BLUE LIGHTS out today on BBC One & iPlayer
Set in modern day Northern Ireland, BLUE LIGHTS follows PSNI rookie officers Grace (Siân Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin) and Tommy (Nathan Braniff) as they navigate the trials of policing in contemporary Belfast. Grace, in her early 40s with a teenage son, is an English woman who's made a career transition from social worker to trainee officer. Annie and Tommy, both Northern Irish, are young and just starting out. In a place where police officers still check under their cars every morning for bombs and have to be cautious about who they reveal their day job to, it's unclear who will make it to the end of their probation period.
We're delighted to say that there is a host of UA talent involved. The series is written by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, directed and executive produced by Gilles Bannier, episodes 1 & 3 edited by Peggy Koretzky, and in addition to the above, stars Michael Shea, Richard Dormer and Valene Kane.
Be sure to tune in at 9pm tonight on BBC One to catch the first episode, or alternatively all episodes are available now on BBC iPlayer.
