PHILOMENA to get UK premiere at LFF

This year’s American Express Gala at The 57th BFI London Film Festival will be the UK premiere of Jeff Pope’s PHILOMENA.

Clare Stewart, BFI head of exhibition and festival director commented that Philomena had “extraordinary potency and relevance”.

A moving, funny and at times shocking true story of one woman’s search for her lost son, the film stars Judi Dench in the title role, with Steve Coogan co-starring.  

The gala will take place on Oct 16 at the Odeon Leicester Square, ahead of Pathé’s UK release date of Nov 1.
