Ricky Gervais' DEREK premieres on Channel 4

Ricky Gervais writes, directs and stars in, Derek – a comedy drama that follows the lives of a group of people on society’s margins.  Gervais plays Derek Noakes, a kindly man who works in a retirement home, lives with cynical caretaker Dougie (played by Karl Pilkington in his acting debut) and spends his time autograph-hunting and watching funny animal videos on YouTube. 

This new sitcom also stars Kerry Godliman as kind-hearted Hannah, David Earl as sex-crazed Cliff and Ashley McGuire as disgruntled resident's daughter, Shelley.

The series begins on Channel 4 on Wed 30 Jan at 10pm.
