The Silent Storm, released in UK cinemas this Friday

THE SILENT STORM, Corinna MacFarlane’s first narrative feature as writer/director, is released in UK cinemas this Friday.

Shot by Ed Rutherford, and described by Empire as “an eerie, beautifully shot drama”, the film tells the story of enigmatic outsider Aislin (Andrea Riseborough), who lives on a remote island with her fanatically religious husband Balor (Damian Lewis). With their marriage crumbling and the community leaving for the mainland, the couple’s unhappy relationship becomes even more strained with the arrival of delinquent Fionn (Ross Anderson). Tensions rise as Aislin begins to bond with the young stranger, sparking her husband’s anger towards them. Be sure to check it out!
