THE STRANGER reaches No.3 in Netflix's Top-10 Global Most Watched English-Speaking Films

Directed by Thomas M. Wright, with striking cinematography from UA Director of Photography Sam Chiplin, The Stranger, which had its premiere earlier this year in Un Certain Regard at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, is currently ranked as the third most watched English-speaking film on Netflix globally! Although based on the real-life abduction and murder of 13-year-old Queensland schoolboy Daniel Morcombe in 2003, the victim and his family are never named. Instead, the film focuses on the undercover methods used by Australian law enforcement to elicit a confession from their prime suspect, chillingly portrayed by Sean Harris, who stars across from an equally brilliant Joel Edgerton as the undercover police officer trying to gain his trust.
