Trailer released for new Epix drama Pennyworth
We're really excited to see the first full-length trailer for upcoming 10-episode one-hour Epix drama Pennyworth from Warner Bros. Studios.
Pennyworth is from executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (Gotham, The Mentalist, Rome) and executive producer/director Danny Cannon (Gotham, CSI series). The new show is a stand-alone story and is not tethered to the continuity of the just-concluded Fox series Gotham and expands the already considerable screen history devoted to Batman-centric mythology with a prequel tale set in England in the 1960s that focuses on young Alfred Pennyworth, the future Batcave stalwart and manservant to Bruce Wayne.
Alfred Pennyworth is played by UA's very own Jack Bannon, with its villainess Bet Sykes played by Paloma Faith. The series also featues performances from Richard Clothier, Edward Bennett and Felicity Kendal. Sammy Murray was the choreographer for Episodes 1 and 2, and Episode 3 was shot by Jake Polonsky.
The series will premiere on Epix on 28th July. You can watch the new trailer here.
