UK Theatre Awards 2016 - Nominations Announced

The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide Awards to honour and celebrate outstanding achievements in regional theatre throughout the UK. Nominations were announced today with a host of UA clients gaining nominations. 

In the Best New Play category; Folk by Tom Wells earns a nomination, with composer James Frewer, as well as This Restless House starring Lorn Macdonald as Orestes. 

The wonderful Toast written by Richard Bean grabs a nomination for Best Touring Production, featuring Simon Greenall and design by James TurnerA Raisin In The Sun also receives a nomination, starring Ashley Zhangazha as Walter Lee Younger. 

Raz Shaw gains a well deserved nomination for Best Director for Wit at The Royal Exchange Theatre. 

Flowers For Mrs Harris written by the incredible Rachel Wagstaff is up for Best Musical Production.
 
James McArdle and Olivia Vinall both earned nominations for the Young Chekhov plays, directed by Jonathan Kent CBE. 

This year's ceremony will again take place at London's historic Guildhall and will be announced on Sunday 9th October.
