United Agents Clients Shortlisted for the British Book Awards

We are thrilled that several United Agents clients have been shortlisted for the British Book Awards 2021.

In the Children's Illustrated & Non-Fiction category, Rob Biddulph, Smriti Halls, and David Olusoga are all shortlisted.

Rob Biddulph is shortlisted for his book DRAW WITH ROB, which was born from his weekly online drawing videos #DrawWithRob. HarperCollins Children’s reactively brought out a book of the same name. The title was planned, written, illustrated and designed in just three weeks.

Smriti Halls has been shortlisted for her book I'M STICKING WITH YOU, illustrated by Steve Small. It is a funny, feel-good book about everything a friendship can be.

David Olusoga is shortlisted for his book BLACK AND BRITISH: A short essential history. This is an essential introduction to 1,800 years of Black British history: from the Roman Africans, right up to the present day. Since he published Black and British: A Forgotten History in 2016 (Macmillan), parents have been asking Olusoga for a kids’ title and here it is.

In the Non-Fiction: Narrative category, Sir David Attenborough is shortlisted for his book A LIFE ON OUR PLANET. It is an urgent statement about the climate emergency, which is a blend of memoir and polemic, celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s career with black and white photographs throughout.

In the brand new Book of the Year: Pageturner category, aimed at popular fiction titles across all formats, Mike Gayle is shortlisted for his latest book ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE.

The Publicity Campaign of the Year category features Susie Dent's book WORD PERFECT for the campaign run by Alice Herbert at John Murray.

You can read more about all of the shortlistees here. Congratulations to all who have been shortlisted!
