THE VIKINGS conquer History Channel

Michael Hirst's new 9 part series for History - the channel's first scripted series - began airing in the USA on Sunday 3rd March and became the No 1 cable series launch of the year with 8.3 million viewers.

THE VIKINGS focuses on Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), a Viking warrior setting out to explore - and raid -the distant shores across the ocean. The cast also includes Gabriel Byrne, Gustaf Skarsgard, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, Jessalyn Gilsig and George Blagden.
