Paul's best known for his screenplay, SELMA that was nominated for an Oscar, Best Motion Picture of the Year 2015.
Paul's first play FOUR NIGHTS IN KNARESBOROUGH opened at the Tricycle Theatre in November 1999, starring Jonny Lee Miller and James Purefoy, directed by Richard Wilson. It was revived for a national tour in Autumn 2001, directed by Paul Miller. It received its third production at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in February 2003 directed by Gemma Bodinetz. Further productions took place in 2004 at Bolton, Stoke, Norwich and the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. In 2005 there were three further productions including one at the Riverside Studios directed by Peter Farago.
