Joe Bone

Joe Bone is a critically acclaimed writer and character actor from the Isle of Wight. In 2018 he co-wrote the acclaimed thriller, ‘The Vanishing’, starring Peter Mullan and Gerard Butler, directed by Kristoffer Nyholm. His second feature, noir-western ‘The Corrupt’, will be directed again by Kristoffer Nyholm (Taboo, The Killing, Spadehead). From 2009, Joe wrote and performed a trilogy of award winning comedy-noir shows, BANE, heavily inspired by his love of cinema. Commissioned by the Brighton International Festival, they toured the globe to sell out audiences, earning numerous awards and nominations along the way. He went on to appear as Bainbridge Bell in the BBC drama 'Castles in the Sky', as well as notable performances in 'The Alienist' and 'Endeavour', as well as appearing as Jackie Boy in the upcoming feature film ‘Six Minutes to Midnight’, starring Eddie Izzard and Judy Dench. 

Joe’s current slate includes TV series, Contenders optioned by Tiger Aspect, The Big Needle, a Fargo-esque noir caper set on his native Isle of Wight, optioned by Big Talk Productions and Kill Club, optioned by West Road and All3Media.
