Acting
David is an established actor and writer.
David plays the role of Lord Samadani in the highly anticipated third series of Netlfix’s BRIDGERTON.
In summer of this 2023, David played the role of Footrub Ken in Greta Gerwig’s tentpole feature, BARBIE.
He appeared in Channel 4’s BIG MOOD and UNDOING MARTIN PARKER for Lookout Point.
In 2022, David could be seen featuring opposite Sheridan Smith in the drama/thriller series - NO RETURN - for ITV.
In 2021, David filmed the role of Mark in the upcoming thriller series, THE GIRL BEFORE, for HBO Max and the BBC. He also filmed the recurring role of Anso in the hotly-anticipated upcoming Mike Myers' comedy series, THE PENTAVERATE, for Netflix. Further to these roles, David reprised his role in the multi-BAFTA winning Channel 4 comedy series, STATH LETS FLATS, which airs on HBO Max in the US and filmed a role in the BBC’s PLEASE HELP, which was recently released to rave reviews.
David's other recent TV credits include a regular role in two series of the hit E4/C4 series, DEAD PIXELS, which comes from the creators of PEEP SHOW and airs on The CW in the US; and a regular role in two series of Dave's hilarious comedy, SLICED. David also played Will in Dominic Savage's hard-hitting drama for Channel 4 - I AM.
David's feature film credits include Paul Feig's LAST CHRISTMAS, a major role in comedy-horror KILLER WEEKEND, the role of Fabien in the third JOHNNY ENGLISH film, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT, THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE and a major role in LOST IN LONDON. LOST IN LONDON - Woody Harrelson’s directorial debut - also starred Owen Wilson and Willy Nelson and was the first film to ever be screened live.
David has also worked extensively in theatre. Most recently, he starred in the Royal Court's A HISTORY OF WATER IN THE MIDDLE EAST in late 2019. Both the play and David himself received fantastic reviews. After appearing in two-hander LELA AND CO at the Royal Court Theatre, which was one of Lyn Gardener's top 10 theatre productions of 2015, he then went on to appear in PINE at the Hampstead in late 2015/early 2016. David trained at Drama Centre London.
Outside of his acting and writing work, David is also the founder of Open Door, a non-profit organisation that helps talented young people who do not have the financial support or resources to gain a place at one of the UK’s leading drama schools. Open Door has achieved remarkable success since its inception in 2017. It won The Stage’s award for “Drama School of the Year” in 2019 and has changed the lives of hundreds of young people.
