Shortlist announced for North West Royal Television Society Awards
The Royal Television Society has revealed the shortlist for this year’s North West Awards. The ceremony celebrates the broadcast talent in the region both in front of, and behind the camera and we’re thrilled that a wealth of UA talent has made this years shortlist.
Children’s Drama 4 O’Clock Club for CBBC is shortlisted for Best Children’s Programme, featuring writing from Frog Stone.
Kevin Doyle’s incredible performance as DS John Wadsworth in Happy Valley is up for Best Performance in a Single Drama or Drama Series.
BBC2's ground breaking comedy Boy Meets Girl is up for Best Comedy Programme starring Jonny Dixon and Paris Lees.
Jane Danson is shortlisted for Best Performance in a Continuing Drama for her portrayal of the well-loved Leanne Battersby in Coronation Street.
Hit Comedy Drama Cradle to Grave is shortlisted for Best Post Production, edited by Mark Davies.
Ireland with Simon Reeve for BBC Two also makes the shortlist for Best Factual Series.
In the Best Single Drama or Drama Series category, Danny and the Human Zoo is shortlisted, with Simon Tindall as Director of Photography.
The winners will be announced at this year’s ceremony hosted by Les Dennis in November.
