Pete Jordi Wood named recipient of John Brabourne Award

We're delighted to annonce that writer Pete Jordi Wood  has been named as one of the recipients of the John Brabourne Award

The award, supported by the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), is a talent development programme providing financial and professional support for driven individuals working in Film and TV.

When asked about the award, Pete said “As a carer from a low income household, and having a disability myself, receiving a JBA is a genuinely life changing opportunity for me to be able to focus on my writing for a period of time and develop new work for the screen. I am incredibly grateful to The CTBF and to the late, great John Brabourne and his family for their support.”

Pete has credits for the BBC and Channel 4. He is currently developing an original musical with Tom Bidwell (My Mad Fat Diary) and producer Emma Burge. He is also working on a feature version of his short I DON'T CARE which was made as part of Channel 4's prestigious Coming Up scheme.

Congratulations Pete!
