Evening Standard British Film Awards Longlist Announced!
The longlist for the London Evening Standard British Film Awards has been revealed, and it features a whole host of United Agents talent!
Ricky Gervais’s DAVID BRENT: LIFE ON THE ROAD has been nominated for the Peter Sellers Award for Comedy. Starring Ricky Gervais and Ben Bailey Smith, it also featured the talents of Editor Gary Dollner ACE and Hair & Makeup Design by Claire Whiteley.
BRIDGET JONES’S BABY, co-written by Dan Mazer has been nominated for the Everyman Award for Best Film and the Peter Sellers Award for Comedy. The film also features Ashley McGuire and Steven Noble was the Costume Designer with Jan Sewell as Hair & Makeup Designer.
A UNITED KINGDOM, written and directed by Amma Asante stars Rosamund Pike who has been nominated for Best Actress. David Oyelowo has also been nominated.
Written by Alice Birch and Directed by William Oldroyd LADY MACBETH is nominated for the Everyman Award for Best Film and William Oldroyd has been nominated for the Malone Souliers Award for Breakthrough of the Year. Stars of the film Florence Pugh and Naomi Ackie have also been nominated for awards.
Our Actors department have some wonderful nominations including Lewis MacDougall up for the Malone Souliers Award for Breakthrough of the Year for his role in A MONSTER CALLS. Hayley Squires is up for best Supporting Actress for I, DANIEL BLAKE and Tom Bennett is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for LOVE & FRIENDSHIP. Dan Skinner starred in NOTES ON BLINDNESS which is up for Best Documentary.
In Technical Achievement Laurie Rose has been nominated for FREE FIRE.
